Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, a researcher at Center for Refining & Petrochemicals of the Research Institute was invited to present his innovative work on “Hydrogen Production via Thermo Neutral Reforming of Liquid Hydrocarbon Fuels” at the Air Products Industrial Gases Technology Symposium held at The Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV), KFUPM, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia during November 6-7, 2018.

This symposium provided an insight into the current trends and the latest technologies in the production, use, and storage of hydrogen, synthesis gas, helium, oxygen, and carbon dioxide. The symposium also provided a wide-ranging agenda featuring presentations and panel discussions by Air Products, Saudi Aramco, KFUPM, and KAUST. Experts from these organizations made presentations on technology issues and challenges, such as CO2 capture, hydrogen as a fuel, as well as mega gasification projects. The event, attracted over 150 participants, enabled active discussions on creating an environment for the development of further R&D collaboration opportunities. The talk was well received by both the local and  international participants.
