King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals Signed a Twinning Agreement with Khalifa University of Science and Technology

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and Khalifa University of Science and Technology - United Arab Emirates signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday (11th April 2019) aimed at twinning the two universities in academic, scientific and research fields.

On the sidelines of the 8th International Exhibition & Conference on Higher Education, the twinning agreement was signed by the Rector of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dr. Sahel N. Abduljauwad and Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, the Executive Vice President at the Khalifa University of Science Technology.

The agreement includes the preparation of programs for the exchange of faculty members, students and researchers in all possible disciplines, initiative of twinning research projects and joint scientific publishing. The agreement also aims to exchange references, information, publications and periodicals issued by both universities.

The agreement is based on the decisions of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council meetings formed by both governments and the desire to establish a twinning relationship between KFUPM and Khalifa University for Science and Technology in order to achieve fruitful cooperation in academic, scientific and research fields.

The agreement serves KFUPM in enhancing partnership with regional and international universities and exchanging experiences to serve the development of the educational and research process at the University.
