HRH the Governor of the Eastern Province Meets the President of KFUPM

On Tuesday, at his office, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, met the President of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dr. Muhammad M. Al-Saggaf, after his appointment by His Highness the Minister of Energy.

His Highness praised KFUPM’s leadership for their support and interest in education and the scientific research sector. He emphasized that the new academic system has given universities tools to empower them to expand their horizons and fulfill the mission of universities. This mission is to support and develop scientific research and innovation, to find solutions, in participation with the surrounding community, to the diverse problems we face and to produce qualified graduates able to contribute to the country’s development.

His Highness stressed the importance of continuing the institutional work and preserving the sustainability of the University through the careful management of investments, especially the projects of KFUPM members. Finally, his Highness wished Dr. Al-Saggaf every success in all of his future endeavors.

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saggaf expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness, the Governor of the Eastern Province, indicating that the support of His Royal Highness and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, will be a motivation for him to promote the University’s achievements and to distinguish it at various levels. He stated that KFUPM, working within the new systems and legislation aimed at supporting and empowering universities, will endeavor to achieve the vision of our leadership.
