ICTC celebrated the successful completion of its 2017 projects

The Information and Communications Technology Centre (ICTC) organized the ‘ICTC Projects of 2017’ event on 5th February 2018 from 9:00am to 12:00pm in the Auditorium of Building No. 20 to celebrate the successful completion of its 2017 projects. The aim of the event was to share the lessons learned by the Project Managers to enhance the success of future projects and avoid making the same mistakes in future, and to acknowledge the efforts of the ICTC Project Managers and Team Members who contributed to the success of the projects. ICTC successfully completed 36 significant projects during 2017 with the team work and contribution of 29 ICTC Project Managers and 66 ICTC Team Members. The event was attended by almost all ICTC staff members.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmad Khayyat, Director of the ICTC, who gave a presentation on the ‘Major Achievements of ICTC in 2017 and Major Plans for 2018.” He paid tribute the achievements of the ICTC Department Directors, Project Managers, Project Team Members and all ICTC staff who contributed to the success of ICTC during the year of 2017. The Director’s ICTC’s presentation was followed by the presentation of Mr. Asim Jameel, the Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) of ICTC, whereby he shared the important global project indicators for 2017 and indicated ICTC’s performance against them, along with the major lessons learned in project management at ICTC during 2017.
Afterwards, all the ICTC’s Department Directors gave a presentation on the major achievements of their departments in 2017, and shared their plans for the year 2018. Later, the Project Managers of all the ICTC projects completed in 2017, shared the lessons learned on their projects and gave their suggestions for similar future projects. The attendees of the event showed their appreciation of the Directors and Project Managers and applauded them as they came on stage to give their presentations.
The event was concluded with the awards and certificates distribution ceremony. Dr. Ahmad Khayyat Director of the ICTC distributed the awards for the following categories: Best External Project for 2017, Best Internal Project for 2017, Best Development Project for 2017 and the High-Performance Manager Award. Subsequently, certificates were awarded to the Best Performers from ICTC Departments, ICTC Project Managers and ICTC Project Team Members.
The ‘ICTC Projects 2017’ event was greatly appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed by all ICTC management and team members as the auditorium was filled with rounds of appreciative applause during the awards and certificate distribution ceremony. The event was superbly organized and managed by the Project Management Office (PMO) and Business Support Unit (BSU) departments of ICTC and it will surely remain in the fond memories of all the ICTC team for a long time to come.
