KFUPM team wins the 2018 MENA regional CFA research challenge

After winning second-place in the local CFA institute research challenge, hosted in Tadawul, Riyadh, the team continued their successful journey to become the first winner in the MENA competition, which was hosted by the CFA Society of UAE on March 23, 2018. The MENA competition consisted of eight teams from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Cyprus.

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. Students work in teams to research, analyse, value and assign an investment recommendation on a publicly traded company. The KFUPM team worked on Almarai Co.
