King Fahd University Recognizes Outstanding Staff and Faculty members, and Graduates with Honors

On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, and under the patronage of His Excellency, Dr. Khalid Al Sultan, Rector of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, KFUPM recognized those students who received first, second and third degree honors, and faculty members and staff who won Awards of Excellence for the year 1438/1439 H.

The Awards of Excellence were given to professors distinguished by their teaching, academic guidance, use of teaching technology and research, faculty members holding patents, and for the best research project from the Deanship of Research,

Research for Excellence awards were given in applied research and management, to a distinguished team for applied research, for organization of short courses, and for distinguished director, employee, administrative assistant and worker.  In addition, Awards of Excellence were granted to outstanding students in academic assistance, student activity, and the best students’ clubs.

In addition, the families of several KFUPM graduates were honored with the “Loyalty Plaque”, the Rector’s initiative as a tribute to these families for their efforts and confidence in the university.

Dr. Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Sakran expressed his happiness in being at the university and praised the university's Rector, "a studious fellow, a model for students, professors, researchers, a scholar of his generation, and finally a university rector who elevates KFUPM to the level of international universities.”

The Awards of Excellence for university professor were granted to:

Dr. Sayed Mohammed Zubair, Dr. Salim Issa Masoudi, Dr. Magdi Sadiq Mahmoud and Dr. Ahmed Ziauddin Shaheen.

The Awards of Excellence in Teaching were granted to Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Ostey, Dr. Wael Jamal Abdulrahman, Dr. Mohammad Mazhar Hussein, Dr. Hussein Jubran Al-Qahtani, Dr. Mohammad Ali Obaido, Dr. Tawfiq Abdo Saleh Awad, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Jabri, Dr. Israr Sardar Khan, Dr. Laith Awni Hadidi, Dr. Mohammad Rabah Al-Shaib, Dr. Mohammad Hussein Makkawi, Dr. Mark Collin Thompson, Mr. Akram Mohammed Ahmed, Mr. Hani Qaed Al Muhair and Dr. Saeed Omar Bayrami.

Awards of Excellence in Academic Counseling were granted to: Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Bashmal, Dr. Ihsan al-Haq Nour, Dr. Abdulkarim Mustafa Makki, Dr. Naji Mohammed Al-Shamasi, Dr. Saadi Abd El-Asaf Assaf, Dr. Ayman Helmy El-Melah and Dr. Abdullah Saad Sultan.

Awards of Excellence in Teaching Technology were granted to Dr. Tarek Al-Shalatami (First Prize), Dr. Mohammad Riyad (second prize) and Dr. Alaeddin Hussein (third).

Awards of Excellence in Research were granted to Dr. Hassan Waqad, Dr. Mohammad Drish, Dr. Munther Rashid Faridan and Dr. Ayman Sherif Al-Saeed.

An Award of Excellence for Best Research Project was granted to Dr. Mohamed Ashraf Kundal.

Research Institute Awards:

An Award of Excellence in Applied Research was granted to: Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Habib.
An Award of Excellence in Managing Applied Research was granted to: Dr. Krishna Kumar Kadingbali.

The Outstanding Research Team Award was granted to: the team’s representative Dr. Mohamed Asif.

Award of Excellence for Employees:

Outstanding Director Awards were granted (equally) to: Mr. Mutlaq Bin Ibrahim Al Mutlaq, Mr. Ali Bin Abdul Rahman Al Ghamdi, Mr. Sayed Tareq Magrabi and Mr. Abdul Fattah Bin Abdul Jalil Al Janabi.

Distinguished Professional Employee Awards were granted (equally) to: Mr. Amran Al Haq, and Mr. Islam Mahmood Al Deek.

Distinguished Technical Support Officer Awards were granted (equally) to: Mr. Bernard Mushkasamana Carpio, Mr. Qamar Hanif Moghl, Mr. Issa Ben Ali Al-Shakran and Mr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Zahrani.

Outstanding Administrative Support Officer Awards were granted (equally) to: Mr. Salim Bin Mohammed Al Qarni, Mr. Alyadath Vijaya Pravin and Mr. Sayed Omar Mustafa.

Distinguished Worker Awards were granted (equally) to: Mr. Mohammed Abdo Al Ghazali and Mr. Ali Saleh Al Mayad.

Student Awards:

Award for Excellence in Academic Assistance was granted to: Mr. Ayman Mohamed Amin.

Award for Excellence in Student Activities was granted to: Mr. Tariq Ali Lababidi.
