King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals Opens its Guest House

On Tuesday morning 3rd July 2018, Dr. Sahel N. Abduljauwad, KFUPM Acting Rector opened the University Guest House building to receive the visitors and guests who came to the University throughout the year to attend events organized or hosted by it.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Sami A. Khayyat, general supervisor of services and a number of deans and faculty members.The building consists of 3 floors, 15 suites. It was constructed in the housing area for single faculty “Al Shabab District”. The Guest House is operated by the General Administration of Food Services and started from today.

For his part, Dr. Abduljauwad thanked the former university rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Sultan for his initiative to found this project which is unprecedented in Saudi universities. He, also, thanked Dr. Sami for his supervision on the project’s implementation stages and noted the efforts of the departments that contributed to its completion, particularly the maintenance department.The project saves the time and effort of the university's guests and helps them to fulfill their mission and achieve all the objectives of their visit to the university.

Al-Mansaf presents HACCP Certificate to Dr. Sahel Abduljauwad.

On the other hand, the Director General of Food Services, Mr. Ali Al-Mansaf, delivered a speech on this occasion, stressing the importance of the project as "a new initiative of many initiatives adopted by the University". He wished the success to the Food Services in operating the project to a degree commensurate with its importance and achieved the desired objectives.

Assigning the operation of this project to the General Administration of Food Services is considered "a confidence in this department" and we pray to Allah to deserve this level of confidence.Al-Mansaf presented HACCP - Food Safety Certificate obtained by the Department to Dr. Sahel Abduljauwad. The Food Services obtained this certificate for eighth successive year and it is a proof for complying the department with "the international conditions and standards for healthy and balanced food". He said.
