KFUPM Offers Postdoctoral Fellowships

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals offers postdoctoral fellowships with the support of the Ministry of Education.

Areas of specialization include Renewable Energy, Petrochemical Research, Environmental Advanced Materials, and Characterization of Nanostructured Materials.
The duration of the program ranges from two to three years, and applying for these grants should be submitted online on http://jobs.kfupm.edu.sa

During the program, the researchers join specialized research groups to find solutions for current problems in the target areas and develop new technologies that can be converted into industrial products or has economic value.

KFUPM is looking to strength and train the national cadres, in addition to enhance the quality of research outputs, which will support the role of the university in the local and international community.

Dr. Nasser Al-Aqeeli, Dean of Scientific Research said that the program aims to enhance the capabilities of national cadres and contribute to various research fields, especially the areas that serve development, in order to meet  the objectives of  Kingdom Vision 2030, which focuses on developing and diversifying the sources of income, investment in new industries and developing the existing ones.


The program targeted the new Ph.D. graduates from international universities and the scholarship program graduates. Recipients of the grants will get many benefits including rewarding salaries, participation in conferences, promotion through training in laboratories and university work and training with expert researchers and distinguished professors. Their participation in research work will qualify them to be professors and distinguished researchers and obtain jobs at prestigious universities.
