A number of students from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) participated in the Qimam program, which was held recently in Riyadh.
Four students joined the program, namely, Mr. Al-Mundhir Badawi (Mechanical Engineering Department), Mohammad Al-Dosari (Chemical Engineering Department), Mohammad Al-Hausa (Computer Engineering Department) and Abdulrahman Al-Suhaimi (Electrical Engineering Department).
The program aims at finding the most promising Saudi university students and empowering them to achieve their professional aspirations. The program is supported by a group of leading local and international companies in the Kingdom. It provides students who are selected with direct professional guidance from leading public and private leaders with leadership training by professionals and executives working in prestigious companies, and visits to the headquarters of leading local and international firms, in addition to a membership in Qimam graduates network. Participants receive a medal in recognition of their excellence in a tribute ceremony after completing the program, and their C.Vs will be submitted to the human resources departments of leading companies in the Kingdom to facilitate getting career opportunities.
Dr. Anas Abdeen, Director of the program, said that “Qimam” was founded on a deep belief that the Kingdom is rich in outstanding talents and that the process of developing these talents is one of the best investments to build a bright future.
Al-Mundhir Badawi said "12 days with 50
participants from the elite of the Saudi university students were able to
change a lot. Guidance and advice were the essence of the program; instructions
and guidance from the program team and from elite leaders who were hosted to
guide us. The program was distinguished by providing many training opportunities
and courses offered by government institutions and private sector giants.
Mohammed Al-Hawseh said that such projects support the progress of this country
and he had found a valuable opportunity to meet famous people in the community
through this initiative, one of his dreams. He wishes all participants
a brilliant future in the service of the nation.
The program included a variety of services and programs such
as leadership training by professional trainers and executives working in
leading companies, special orientation sessions, field
visits to a number of leading companies in Saudi Arabia, building strong and
ongoing relationships with other participants, publishing your resume on the “Qimam”
website and sharing it with executives and human resources managers.
