KFUPM - College of Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences received the students of the College Preparatory program, which is sponsored by Saudi Aramco on Tuesday (31 October 2018). The visit was welcomed by the dean of the college, heads of departments, a number of faculty and students.

The visit of the 70 high school graduate students aims at identifying the university and take a brief knowledge about the College of Petroleum and Geosciences, its advantages, programs and the knowledge acquired in each specialty.

The program included a presentation about the college and its departments. The heads of departments talked about the advantages of the academic programs, and Professor Pan, from the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research, delivered a scientific presentation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dean of the College, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kaabi said that the College offers distinctive programs and some characteristics of these programs are not found in any other colleges in the world, pointing out that the goal of the College to be among the top five colleges in the world in petroleum engineering and geosciences.

Presentation by the college students about their college and experience

About half of the students enrolled in the preparatory program last year chose to study at King Fahd University namely 15 of the 33 students, reflecting the university’s excellence and the quality of its academic programs.

The program of the visit included a presentation by the college students about their college and experience as students in the university, in addition to the advantages of the study such as field trips inside and outside the Kingdom and the practical application of sciences.
