In Parallel with the visit of President Vladimir Putin to the Kingdom: Strategic Framework Agreement between Moscow State Institute of International Relations, International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy and KFUPM

In conjunction with the visit of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation to Saudi Arabia, on Monday (14 October 2019), the Saudi-Russian CEO Forum was held, which witnessed the signing of 17 MoU between a number of Saudi and Russian entities in a number of fields such as technical, petrochemical, transportation, logistics, energy, financial services and space.

One of these agreements include the Strategic Framework Agreement between Moscow State Institute of International relations, International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy and King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Sahel N. Abduljauwad, KFUPM Rector and Dr. Valery Salygin, the Director of the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy at MGIMO.

The agreement represents a general framework for cooperation between the two institutions and aims to form specific bilateral cooperation programs. The two sides agreed to exchange faculty members and researchers through sabbatical leave, conduct seminars, courses and workshops, work jointly on the development of programs and research projects, the development of training programs and the development of undergraduate and graduate programs in areas of common interest.

The agreement also includes mutual advice, support and technical services, exploring opportunities for sending and receiving visiting students for a semester or year, exchanging studies, cooperative programs and research, and identifying areas of interest and possible cooperation.
