96th Saudi National Day Comes to Life Across Campus

On September 23, 2026, the KFUPM community came together on campus to celebrate the 96th Saudi National Day, sharing an evening filled with national pride, Saudi culture, and engaging experiences for faculty, staff, and their families.

The celebration brought Saudi traditions to life through a variety of activities and live experiences. Traditional folk performances filled the stage with the rhythms of the Kingdom, while an Arabian horse parade reflected its deep-rooted culture and identity. Guests also enjoyed interactive competitions, caricature drawing, and live Diriyah calligraphy, with names and phrases written for guests.

Creativity was at the heart of the celebration, with hands-on workshops inviting guests to create and explore. Participants painted tote bags inspired by symbols of strength and courage in Saudi culture, planted native seeds from local crops collected across the Kingdom, and created their own mosaic keychains.

Throughout the evening, families explored a range of interactive zones. The Saudi Coffee Zone offered a taste of authentic Saudi hospitality, while the Food Zone featured traditional flavors. Younger guests enjoyed activities in the Kids’ Play Zone, and the Digital Zone added an interactive dimension to the celebration. At the Photography Zone, attendees captured memorable moments.

More than a celebration, the evening reflected the KFUPM community’s shared sense of belonging and pride in a nation driven by ambition, determination, and knowledge.
