Art of Healing: Led by Students, Inspired by Vision

Motivated by a belief in the power of creativity, Ghaida Al-Timyat and her group of KFUPM students launched V2R: Art of Healing, to bring color and comfort to hospital spaces. Held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Saudi German Hospital in Dammam, the initiative supports patients with chronic conditions by turning art into a therapeutic outlet and a source of empowerment.

The initiative provides patients professional art kits, dedicated drawing spaces, and an ongoing exhibition to showcase their talents. It encourages self-expression and promotes mental well-being, helping patients cope with emotional and psychological challenges. Offering a platform to sell their artwork opens doors to financial independence, building self-worth, and resilience.

Looking ahead, the group plans to expand the initiative with new creative experiences, deepening its social and humanitarian impact. They also hope their work inspires others to support community-focused efforts that combine skill, empathy, and vision.

KFUPM supported this initiative's success, providing financial support, resources, and guidance that empower the students to confidently and proudly represent the university.

This initiative is a testament to the power of student-led change, showing how purposeful action, no matter how small, can foster healing, raise awareness, and make a lasting difference in people's lives.
