Career Fair 2025 Draws Over 11,000 Visitors

KFUPM successfully concluded the 2025 Career Fair on September 10, its flagship annual event. This year, the fair gathered more than 100 leading government entities and private companies from across the Kingdom, up from 60 participants last year, marking a 65% increase. The fair also saw a significant rise in attendance, attracting over 11,000 visitors compared to 4,000 in 2024. With an estimated 500 career opportunities offered, the event reflected its growing role as one of the Kingdom’s premier career platforms.

Students at the Heart of the Experience

A hallmark of this year’s edition was the active involvement of more than 120 KFUPM students, who managed 50% of the organizational tasks. They handled responsibilities such as managing entry and exit, coordinating hospitality, supporting the media campaign, creating an interactive visitor map, and even supervising shuttle buses. Student leaders Naser Mobarki and Moayad Sabeeb described the experience as “incredible and transformative,” noting that it enhanced their skills in planning, problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork. They added: “One of our proudest achievements was successfully managing the flow of 11,000 visitors over three days with a smooth and memorable experience.”

Inspiring Stories from the Fair

The fair also showcased inspiring student journeys. Abdullah Bukhamseen, who only three months ago was a student at KFUPM, participated this year as a representative of a company in the food and beverage sector, where he now works as Brand Manager. “I got this job through connections I built inside the university,” he shared, adding that Mayar’s presence at the fair was aimed at recruiting KFUPM students specifically.

The fair wasn’t limited to graduates. Among the attendees was Shoog Almuhailib, a Preparatory Year student, who came to explore career paths early on. “Most companies interacted with me, answered my questions, and helped me understand the job market. I now know my next step in my career journey,” she explained.

For Hussam Abuhassanain, a fourth-year student, the fair was about finding training opportunities. He successfully secured three offers: two summer internships and one part-time role. “This year’s fair is much better than previous ones, and the diversity of companies is remarkable,” he noted.

Looking Ahead

The fair also drew a significant turnout, witnessing wide engagement across the Kingdom and making a real difference through the opportunities it provided to visitors, during three-day event dedicated its first two days to KFUPM students and alumni, with the final day open to external visitors. The Career Fair 2025 reaffirmed KFUPM’s commitment to connecting education with the labor market and preparing future leaders for the Kingdom’s transformative journey.
