Faculty Member Earns Top Sustainability Honor

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Prof. Syed Mohammad Zubair, a faculty member from the Mechanical Engineering Department at KFUPM has been awarded the prestigious Research Excellence Award in Sustainable Environment and Essential Needs by the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA). His groundbreaking work is driving impactful solutions to both global and local challenges, solidifying his role as a leader in sustainability innovation.

The award was presented by the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) during the Sustainability Innovation Week at the UNCCD COP16 in Riyadh. Prof. Zubair was one of only 12 recipients from local institutions across Saudi Arabia recognized for outstanding contributions in this critical field.
