Faculty Member Wins Global 6G Innovation Award

Dr. Khaled Rabie, a Distinguished Faculty member affiliated with the Computer Engineering Department and the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Communication Systems and Sensing (IRC-CSS) at KFUPM, has secured 3rd place in the prestigious international "Competition on Non-Terrestrial Networks for 6G. His award-winning research paper entitled "Secrecy Analysis of an Irregular RIS-Aided UAV Wireless System in Dynamic Environments" exemplifies cutting-edge contributions to the field. The event was launched by the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) in collaboration with IEEE and ITU, attracting participation from over 80 universities and research centers worldwide.

The competition concluded in a forum featuring distinguished ministers, industry leaders, CEOs, and global experts in non-terrestrial networks, alongside renowned researchers and regulatory authorities.
