From Lab to Global Stage: A Young Researcher’s Journey at KFUPM
After a journey of research and training in KFUPM research labs, high school student Mohammed Saleh Alqahtani secured second place at the Taiwan International Science Fair (TISF). This prestigious competition brought together top high school students from over 30 countries to showcase their STEM projects.
Mohammed’s innovative work on CO₂ foam stabilization for enhanced oil and gas recovery—conducted at KFUPM’s Hydrogen Technologies and Carbon Management Research Labs under the supervision of Dr. Safyan Khan—aims to boost extraction efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
