International Coffee Day: A Taste of Culture and Community

On October 1, 2025, KFUPM celebrated International Coffee Day with a vibrant event at Al-Jabal Restaurant. Coffee, a daily companion for university students, fuels their mornings for better focus in lectures and powers their late-night study sessions during exam season. The celebration drew strong engagement from students, marking the occasion as both a break from routine and a reward during major exams.

The event featured a variety of engaging activities designed to introduce students to the world of coffee. Visitors had the opportunity to prepare their own coffee, experiencing firsthand the art behind every cup. Complimentary servings of diverse coffee types were offered to all attendees, creating a lively and refreshing atmosphere on campus.

As part of the celebration, Adnan Al-Bahrani, a KFUPM alumnus and the owner of a specialty coffee roastery, participated in the event. He emphasized, “We believe that coffee is both an art and a community. Being here today reflects our commitment to sharing this passion and educating people about the journey of coffee from farm to cup.”

Through this celebration, KFUPM aligned with the interests of the younger generation by introducing diverse, creative activities that promote well-being, reduce daily stress, and bring together students and staff. By making space for shared experiences, the university continues to foster a healthy and vibrant community spirit.
