Lead Forward Executive Program Reaches Completion

KFUPM marked the conclusion of its Lead Forward Executive Program with a formal closing ceremony held earlier this month. The event brought the year-long leadership journey, that included structured training, applied learning, and executive coaching, to an end.

Delivered in collaboration with Harvard Business Impact, the program was designed as an initiative specifically tailored for KFUPM’s executive leaders. It combined four in-person modules with a series of online, Harvard-led thought leader sessions, followed by four months of one-on-one coaching by Global Coaching Group.

The closing ceremony brought together program participants, university leadership, and partners to reflect on the value gained and its relevance to the university’s future direction. Opening remarks were delivered by KFUPM President Dr. Muhammad Al-Saggaf, followed by an address from Caroline Wright, Harvard Business Impact Vice President – EMEA. Speakers reflected on the full scope of the Lead Forward journey, emphasizing how the integration of learning and coaching supported deeper reflection and sustained application over time.

An executive panel discussion, also led by Mrs. Wright and titled “Impact of Leadership and Change on KFUPM’s Transformation & Success,” offered participants the opportunity to share reflections on their experience. The discussion highlighted how engagement with the program encouraged new ways of approaching opportunity, adaptability, cross-functional collaboration, and the evolving role of leaders. Panelists also reflected on the importance of connecting ideas to practice and acting as links across teams and departments, informed by a clearer understanding of emerging technologies and organizational change.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates, formally recognizing participants’ completion of the program, followed by an informal networking session and lunch. With the coaching phase now complete, Lead Forward marks the start of an important chapter in KFUPM’s leadership journey. The program’s success further reflects the university’s continued investment in building leadership capability and supporting organizational priorities.
