The Ladies’ 5K Run, held under the theme “Movement for All,” took place on 24 January 2026 and welcomed more than 900 participants to KFUPM’s campus in a shared focus on health, physical activity, and community engagement. The event was held under the patronage of KFUPM President Dr. Muhammad M. Al-Saggaf, reaffirming the University’s ongoing commitment to wellness and inclusive participation.
The run welcomed participants across seven main groups, including preparatory year and college students, postgraduate students, faculty, staff, school students, and KFUPM families. This diverse turnout reflected the strong engagement of both the University community and its extended families, all coming together with a shared focus on active living.
Race day activities began with the distribution of bibs, caps, and chest numbers, followed by a structured warm-up session ahead of the official start. The program concluded with a raffle draw, the recognition of top performers, and a group photo capturing the collective spirit of the event. Dr. Malak Baslyman, Chairman of the Information & Computer Science Department, honored the winners, adding a celebratory close to the race. The Physical Education Department under the College of General Studies is managing the 5 KM Run event.
With smooth organization, strong participation, and a welcoming atmosphere, the 5K Run reinforced KFUPM’s dedication to promoting physical activity, social connection, and lifelong fitness across all ages.
