KFUPM campus came alive in celebration of Saudi Founding Day on Sunday, 22 February 2026, hosting a vibrant evening program dedicated to faculty members, staff, and their families. The event reflected the university’s pride in the Kingdom’s rich history and cultural heritage, while creating a shared space for community connection and national appreciation.
The celebration featured a comprehensive Interactive Experience Zone that transformed the campus into a living showcase of Saudi traditions. The community was welcomed with authentic Saudi coffee, explored the Falcons Tent, and enjoyed visiting the Old Market, a nostalgic corner inspired by traditional marketplaces that evoked memories of the Kingdom’s past and featured a curated selection of traditional food and heritage products. Families engaged in the Kids Playground Zone, while the Photography Zone, inspired by traditional Saudi attire from different regions, allowed guests to capture memorable moments dressed in heritage costumes that reflected the Kingdom’s rich cultural identity.
The evening program also included a dynamic main stage agenda that blended storytelling, entertainment, and audience engagement. Activities began with a short opening video, followed by interactive Q/A competitions that energized attendees. Live storytelling sessions for the kids, celebrating Saudi narratives and cultural identity. A live audience competition further strengthened community interaction.
The evening extended beyond observation into participation. Interactive cultural workshops allowed attendees to immerse themselves in hands-on experiences, including Decorating Ramadan Lanterns, Al-Sadu Medal Making, Flower Bracelet and Garland Crafting, Prayer Beads Making, and Najdi Door Craftsmanship. Each activity celebrated distinctive elements of Saudi heritage, offering visitors not only entertainment, but meaningful cultural engagement.
By combining live stage programming with immersive cultural zones, the celebration transformed Founding Day into a fully integrated heritage experience on KFUPM campus, where history was not only remembered, but actively lived and shared across generations.
