XShare 2026: Where Ideas Connect

Under the theme “Where Ideas Connect,” the Deanship of Academic Development (DAD) at KFUPM hosted XShare on January 21, 2026, bringing together more than 170 KFUPM faculty members for a morning centered on reflection, learning, and shared teaching experiences.

Organized at the start of the second academic semester, XShare continues to serve as a dedicated platform for spotlighting effective teaching practices and meaningful classroom experiences. This year’s event featured seven inspiring teaching stories, presented by KFUPM faculty members who openly shared insights from their own academic journeys, creating an atmosphere rich with dialogue, curiosity, and practical takeaways.

The event opened with welcoming remarks and a brief teaching story by Dr. Abdulaziz Alaswad, Dean of Academic Development. In his address, he highlighted XShare as a growing community of practice that values collaboration, encourages reflection, and supports continuous improvement in teaching and learning across the university.

Throughout the sessions, participants engaged actively with the presenters through thoughtful questions and dynamic discussions. The exchange of ideas extended beyond storytelling, offering attendees concrete perspectives they could reflect on and apply within their own classrooms.

XShare once again demonstrated the power of shared experiences, showing how conversations among educators can deepen understanding, strengthen connections, and contribute to an evolving culture of excellence in teaching at KFUPM.
