Dr. Talal bin Mousa Al-Kharoubi, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs for Employment and Training said “about 400 scholarships students from major companies and government sectors are currently studying at the university. This number of students from major companies such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, General Electric and others, as well as a number of government agencies reflects the confidence of these sectors in the quality and excellence of the University's outputs.
Internal Scholarship Program where major government agencies and several
companies choose a number of outstanding students to join their scholarship
program in order to ensure that the student - in accordance with the contract
signed between them – will work immediately after graduating with the company.
KFUPM has an internal scholarship unit concerned with all scholarship students
from outside parties. It coordinates between these entities and KFUPM
departments, from the announcement of internal scholarship opportunities,
sending the student academic records and to the delivery of the student graduation
documents to the officials of these scholarship agencies.
The program support the University's vision and its quest for leadership and
excellence and enhances the real partnership between the university, the
government and private sectors and it provides excellent opportunities for
students by directing them to keep pace with the needs of the labor market.
Dr. Kharoubi explained that the program is one of the University manifestations to meet the needs of the labor market and to make cooperation with companies in preparing a number of outstanding students.
