Four students from the Information and Computer Science Department, College of Computer Science & Engineering,  participated in the Saudi Digital Machines Hackathon and won the 2nd Place (Health Track) on March 21-24, 2018.

The hackathon (https://saudidigitalmachines.com/?lang=en) focused on GE’s Predix platform (General Electric), a platform designed for the industrial Internet of Things.

The hackathon itself is about providing a solution to a given problem statement from one of three main tracks: water, energy, and healthcare, with each track having two winners.

It's sponsored by GE, The Ministry of Communications and IT, and the Obekan group.

There were 49 teams, of which only six teams could win. The ICS Students team went with the healthcare track option and won second place.

 The students are:

1-   1. Ammar Al Tahhan

2-   2. Yaroub Al Moustafa

3-   3. Mohamad Shelh

4-   4. Ahmed Khateeb

Congrats to the winners.

Congrats to the ICS Department, CCSE, and KFUPM.
