Noting "the Appropriate Time Dialogue" Rector of King Fahd University: The Crown Prince's Interview Confirmed that our Country is Moving Towards Reform in Accordance with an Integrated Vision

The Rector of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Dr. Sahel N. Abduljauwad noted the content of the dialogue, which was conducted by Bloomberg International Agency, with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

The dialogue, reported by the media throughout the world, was comprehensive, reflective and based on objective data.

The dialogue touched on the achievements of our country, in an open and transparent way, which has solidified its security and stability and pushed its development into new horizons of creativity and development. The achievements laid it on solid ground, solid economy and solid social unity, while adhering to our faith and preserving the originality of society.

The meeting dealt with all political, economic, social and intellectual matters, and provided satisfactory explanations to many of the questions raised at various levels.

It was affirmed that our country is moving towards reform and development according to an integrated and examined way, especially in the field of restructuring the Saudi economy. Saudi economy, which proved the strength of its foundations, has the ability to diversify the economic base and achieve growth at a time when many countries of the world are stagnating.

The dialogue stressed in clear words the efforts of the Kingdom and its consistent and principled policy in combating extremism and terrorism, drying up the intellectual and financial infrastructure, leading a military Islamic alliance and a political international alliance to besiege and eliminate the forces of evil.

The dialogue, which came at the right time, clearly affirmed the foundations of Saudi foreign policy and its ability to address the challenges. The most important of these pillars is the continuous defense of Arab and Islamic issues and the serious pursuit of Arab and Islamic solidarity.  As well as the pursuit of security and stability in the world and the rejection of any practices that threaten international peace and security.

It was affirmed that the Kingdom does not accept dictates from anyone, and it is capable of protecting its sovereignty and respect the sovereignty of others.  Its relationship with all countries of the world is governed by mutual respect, common interests and non-interference in the affairs of other countries. Thus not allowing others to interfere in its internal affairs, and its firm belief in world peace and international and regional stability, so as to achieve the development and prosperity of all countries.

In conclusion, he prayed to God to preserve the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and perpetuate our country’s security and stability under the wise leadership of our government.
