Honoring Excellence: A Day of Recognition for Class 55
To celebrate the academic excellence of Class 55 graduates who earned first, second, and third honors, an occasion filled with joy, pride, and heartfelt memories, KFUPM hosted a series of honoring ceremonies on April 22, 2025. Held in three segments throughout the day, the ceremonies brought together proud families, faculty, and university leadership to spotlight the outstanding achievements of the year’s top graduates.
Each ceremony carried a warm, familial atmosphere from morning to evening, alongside a congratulatory address by KFUPM President, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saggaf. A father for whom pursuing engineering at KFUPM runs in the family expressed his gratitude: “I’m so thankful to have two of my sons graduate from such a strong university, and my daughter is following in their footsteps.” Another father wisely noted: “Graduating from KFUPM is already an honor, so obtaining an honors degree is the ultimate achievement.”
A Family to Remember
One touching story came from a family who traveled from Mecca. In their family photo, a proud father stands between his two sons, both graduates at KFUPM, and their younger sister, still a student at KFUPM, stands in front, smiling brightly. The father shared that his eldest son graduated in 2020 but couldn’t attend a ceremony due to the pandemic. This year, he wore his gown again to celebrate this time with his brother finally.
The family is already looking forward to their daughter’s graduation, hoping for another joyful reunion in the years to come.
The event culminated in the recognition of each recipient, as family members commemorated the moment with excitement and joy. In the words of a proud attending mother of an engineering graduate: “my son has always strived to be in the top of his class since childhood, and it has continued until this day, as a distinguished student at the top Arab university.”

The applause, the smiles, and tears echoed one message: excellence is a journey, and these graduates are just getting started.
